As cenas da vida: um estudo sobre o grupo de teatro da Associação Recreativa e Cultural de S. João de Rio Frio

Abstract

A presente investigação, neste contexto privilegiado de educação não formal, pretendeu assegurar uma maior visi0bilidade do trabalho desenvolvido pela Associação Recreativa e Cultural de S. João de Rio Frio, nomeadamente, ao nível das artes cénicas. O estudo girou em torno de duas questões fundamentais - que representações têm os atores acerca do teatro e qual o seu impacto na comunidade local/regional em que se encontram inseridos. O quadro teórico construído abordou os campos do associativismo e do teatro - o primeiro, como pilar do desenvolvimento local/regional, espaço de solidariedades e de exercício pleno de cidadania; o segundo, enquanto espaço de representação, de experimentação, em que, todos, independentemente da idade, poderão conhecer os seus limites e capacidades, ampliar os seus conhecimentos, desenvolver o raciocínio, criatividade e imaginação e despertar para a prática da cooperação social. Este estudo, de inspiração qualitativa, recorreu à observação direta, à pesquisa e análise documental e à entrevista como técnicas de recolha de dados que compõem o processo de triangulação. Vem demonstrar, sobretudo, que os diferentes atores participantes evidenciam, ainda que de forma empírica, muitos conhecimentos sobre teatro e técnicas da prática teatral; que o teatro, bem como as restantes atividades dinamizadas pela associação, contribuem para o desenvolvimento social, e, sobretudo, cultural, da freguesia, projetando-a além-fronteiras; que o teatro é uma escola de múltiplas aprendizagens, em qualquer fase da vida do ser humano;

Developed in the privileged context of non formal education, this research work intended to raise the profile of the Associação Recreativa e Cultural de S. João de Rio Frio, particularly in what comes to the performing arts. The study focused on two key issues: the representations actors have about theatre and the impact they have on the local/regional community they belong to. The theoretical framework deepened the areas of association and theatre – the first, as a basis of local/regional development, a place for solidarity and full exercise of citizenship; the second, as a place for acting, for trying out, where everyone, regardless of age, may know their limitations and abilities, broaden their knowledge, develop reasoning, creativity and imagination and awaken to the practice of social cooperation. This study, inspired by the qualitative methods, used direct observation, research and document analysis and interview techniques for gathering the data which comprise the process of triangulation. Above all, the study reveals that the different actors involved are, albeit empirically, very knowledgeable about theatre and theatrical practice techniques; that theatre, together with other activities promoted by the association, are a significant contribution for the social, but mainly cultural, development of the parish, projecting it abroad; that theatre is a school of multiple learning at any stage of human life.
