Experiências de turismo rural : uma revisão sistemática da literatura

Abstract

As áreas rurais são cada vez mais dinâmicas e criativas, e a aposta feita no turismo tem revelado benefícios económicos, sociais e culturais. Este impulso turístico ocorre pelo desejo do turista em participar em novas experiências, mais individuais, com qualidade e em contacto direto com as comunidades. Este estudo analisa as experiências turísticas propostas nos destinos rurais a nível mundial com base numa revisão sistemática dos últimos cinco anos da literatura (2019-2023). A análise realizada neste documento resulta na identificação e apresentação de um conjunto de aspetos que se considera serem importantes para diferentes intervenientes e que poderão contribuir para a qualidade das experiências oferecidas e para o desenvolvimento turístico em áreas rurais. Os resultados do presente trabalho destacam a necessidade de se trabalhar em conjunto com a comunidade, para se desenvolver uma oferta turística mais sustentável, com uma aposta mais significativa em experiências que representem a identidade local e de maior proximidade e interação com a comunidade.

Rural areas are becoming increasingly dynamic and creative, and the focus on tourism has shown economic, social, and cultural benefits. This tourism boost is driven by the tourist's desire to engage in new experiences that are more personalized, of higher quality, and in direct contact with local communities. This study analyzes the tourist experiences offered in rural destinations worldwide based on a systematic review of the literature from the past five years (2019-2023). The analysis presented in this document results in the identification and presentation of a set of aspects considered important for different stakeholders, which could contribute to the quality of the experiences offered and to tourism development in rural areas. The findings of this study highlight the need to work closely with the community to develop a more sustainable tourism offer, with a greater focus on experiences that represent the local identity and promote closer interaction with the community.
