O design emocional como elemento dinamizador de cultura e bem-estar : o caso da Oficina Cultural do IPVC

Abstract

A presente dissertação oferece uma investigação em design, através da dinamização da Oficina Cultural do IPVC, promovendo a arte e a cultura da região direcionada aos jovens presentes na cidade de Viana do Castelo. Esta investigação é faseada em 4 partes: A primeira fase deste estudo expõe a temática abordada, assim como a problemática existente. De seguida, é analisado e fundamentado o conceito do Design Emocional de Donald Norman (Norman, 2004). Para além disto, são apresentados dois casos de estudo relevantes para a investigação em termos culturais e artísticos. Esta contextualização teórica dos vários temas procura ajudar na elaboração do presente trabalho e de que forma o design emocional pode ser utilizado para a contribuição de ligações culturais na Oficina Cultural do IPVC e incentivar os jovens a fazerem parte deste processo. A segunda fase é marcada pelo trabalho de campo, surgindo uma contextualização breve do parceiro deste trabalho, assim como o surgimento de diferentes momentos, como reuniões, necessárias para o trabalho decorrer. Ainda nesta fase, observa-se o comportamento dos jovens, sendo utilizado um método de investigação em design. Deste momento retiram-se algumas conclusões. Na terceira fase surgem diferentes ideias que possibilitam a análise do espaço a intervir, sendo identificados os pontos positivos e menos positivos. Para além disto, são elaboradas entrevistas ao Administrador dos SAS-IPVC e ao responsável da Oficina Cultural do IPVC de forma a compreender as observações retiradas acerca da exposição de finalistas das licenciaturas de design. Na quarta fase, sendo esta a final, acontece a avaliação do projeto, sendo esta realizada pelos presentes na exposição de finalistas. Esta avaliação é feita através de questionários realizados. Com este estudo pretende-se implementar os critérios que a investigação proporciona ao IPVC e aos SAS-IPVC, direcionados à Oficina Cultural do IPVC, valorizando os ambientes saudáveis e novas oportunidades pessoais e profissionais destinadas aos jovens. Também é pretendido que os SAS-IPVC aumentem as suas parcerias e proporcionem novas vertentes através dos seus serviços, provocando que a Oficina Cultural do IPVC seja um ponto central de divulgação de arte e cultura na região do Alto-Minho.

This dissertation offers an investigation into design, through the promotion of the Oficina Cultural do IPVC, promoting the region’s art and culture aimed at young people presente in the city of Viana do Castelo. This investigation is phased into 4 parts: The first phase of this study exposes the theme addressed, as well as the existing problems. Next, Donald Norman concept of Emotional Design (Norman, 2004) is analyzed and substantiated. In addition, two case studies relevant to research in cultural and artistic terms are presented. This theoretical contextualization of the various themes seeks to assist in the preparation of this work and how Emotional design can be used to contribute to cultural connections in the Oficina Cultural do IPVC and encourage young people to be part of this process. The second phase is marked by fieldwork, with a brief contextualization of the partner in this work, as well as the emergende of diferent moments, such as meetings, necessary for the work to occur. Still at this stage, the behavior of young people is observed, using a design research method. Some conclusions can be drawn from this moment. In the third phase, diferente ideas emerge that make it possible to analyze the space to be intervened, identifying the positive and less positive points. In addition, interviews are carried out with the SAS-IPVC Administrator and the person responsible for the Oficina Cultural do IPVC in order to understand the observations made about the exhibition of design degree finalists. In the fourth phase, this being the final one, the project is evaluated, carried out by those presente at the graduation exhibition. This assessment is carried out through questionnaires. This study aims to implemente the criteria that research provides to IPVC and SAS-IPVC, aimed at the Oficina Cultural do IPVC, valuing healthy environments and new personal and professional opportunities aimed at young people. I tis also intended that SAS-IPVC increase its partnerships and provide new aspects through its services, making the Oficina Cultural do IPVC a central point for disseminating art and culture in the Alto-Minho region.
